I’ve always been a fan of April Fool’s Day since I was a kid. This year I wish I could say the same. Unfortunately, the stay at home order until June 10th in my state is real and not some elaborate April Fools joke like I had hoped when I woke up this morning.

Here’s how I occupied myself today:

  • I continue to remain thankful for a job that lets me work from home.
  • The usual round of work conference calls and got some draft reviews complete and sent back in.
  • Worked on some personal and professional writing projects as I hold on to the false hope that I can write my way through self-isolation.
  • Cleaned up my (personal) Atlassian account because I want to finish building a workspace of my writing samples.

The days are bleeding together and time feels out of whack. I was late for a call today with a co-worker.

How was your April Fool’s Day in self-isolation?
