Like many folks, 2020 was a trying time for me because of the pandemic. I’ve stepped back and now realize everything I have to be thankful for personally and professionally. There were a few low points during the height of the pandemic, mind you.
I’ve been working from home off and on for much of my career. Pre-COVID, I would have said I like the option to work from either home or office depending on things like what I had to do that day. I just took a job that is full-time remote so that option is off the table.
Here are some ways I’m changing up my remote work routine:
Like a lot of people, I’m ready for this dreadful year to end. I was really feeling fried during my last week or so of work. Throughout the pandemic from almost day 1, I’ve been keeping a list of things that have been bringing me a wee bit of joy during the lonely and frustrating times of this crisis. It’s the end of 2020. Thank goodness. I’ve had some tough years but 2020 was something quite different. Two job changes. Of course, there was the pandemic which tried my patience and sometimes my spirit.
